How Do You Get a Bunch of Teenagers Out of Bed EARLY?
YOU FEED THEM!!!
Semi-Homemade Donuts
2 cans of biscuits
Frying oil
Cinnamon
Sugar
Cut biscuits in 1/2 and pinch them to look like a fortune cookie....
I find they turn out prettier when I do this.
Fry until golden brown
Let cool slightly and then roll in cinnamon/sugar mix
EAT WHILE WARM.....

Prom with Friends....
My middle daughter, Sydni went to the local
High School Prom with a few of her friends.
adventure.....
...and it doesn't bother her one bit that everyone tells her she
looks like her mommy!

We spent the whole afternoon having a girls pamper party....
who needs salons when you've got MOMS?
One mom did the make-up, one did the nails and one did the hair....
I'm sure by looking at the VINTAGE HAIRSTYLES...you
couldn't possibly guess who did the HAIR now could you?
There were KILLER BEES in the Azalea bushes.....my daughter
also shares my extreme aversion to those things.....
I think I want this picture blown up into
a poster.....make it an album cover!!!
I STILL LOVE MY CAMERA!!
I did find out that I need to be more careful
when I am ON STEROIDS...some of the best pics were
too blurry because I was shaking so bad....
I will be soooo glad to get off these meds.

Vintage Thingie Thursday & Thrift Store Thursday...ur, uh, FRIDAY...
AND
http://www.homebodyholly.com/search/label/Thrift%20Store%20Thursday
I know, I know....I'm posting on FRIDAY...so sorry.
Normally these posts are done BEFORE Thursday and automatically
posted on Thursday...well, time got away, life happened, and HERE WE ARE.
I ran through a few thrift stores in a nearby town....
Lamp $2.00!!! Yes, $2.00! I can't wait to break out the paint for this baby!
I can't get a lampshade until I know exactly where I am going to put it either...maybe in my
bedroom, maybe in my dining room, or maybe in my living room....we shall see.
Vintage sheet w/ RUFFLE...$.50
I wish I could find the whole set....or at least another flat sheet...these would
be great curtains in my bedroom....so, don't quite know what to do with it.
ANY IDEAS???
Another vintage picture for my collage...$3.00 (Actually found at an antique store)
Boy, when it warms up and THE WIND QUITS BLOWING....
there will be some spray painting going on around her....
I'm going to paint most of the frames a creamy white.
Vintage pillow for bedroom...$2.00 (Also found at antique store)
This is a long pillow...just look at the little ducks and the poms on the trim!!!
Pink sweater that is going to be made into a pillow...$1.00.
Brown pillow that LOOKS like it used to be a sweater but never
really was....$.50
Vintage serving dish...$.50
Look at the detail of the flowers....this will either go on my
bedroom wall or nightstand....still deciding.
Ok, this was NOT bought but qualifies as VINTAGE....
This dresser was given to me from my
husband's family....pretty sure it used to be his grandmother's dresser.
Right now, it is serving as extra cabinet space in my bathroom...I just despise
having the NORMAL cabinets in the bathroom above the toilet.
It is also a great linen "closet".
I think it does a lovely job hold that wonderful $2.50 retro clock as well.
The doily was made by my mother when she was younger....said she
always did them too tight.....and they would lay flat....I LOVE IT!!!

Neat Finds from Last Week
TOTAL RANDOMNESS
It is NOT a wind up clock...uses batteries.
Even the little hands glow in the dark!
Right now its home is in the bathroom....I'm actually looking
for a chippy little metal shelf to put it on right by our sink.
items off of our back porch. The mornings are a wonderful
place to sit and drink coffee...when the wind isn't blowing.
I'm slowing finding furniture that I feel can withstand the
wind....and this bench is proof.
Last night we had severe storms blow in and this 10 ft. baby
didn't BUDGE!!!
Now, what to do with it....
Should I paint it?
Should I add pillows?
(even with a "pillow thief" look at the picture under my heading)
I am hoping the stupid dog enjoys the pillow he has now
claimed and won't take anymore of my pillows!
What is really funny about the pillow thing is that once
I just LET HIM HAVE THE DUMB PILLOW....
it is like the chase is over....he never moves it from the
spot he put it....he used to drag the thing all around, making SURE
I saw it every time I walked outside.
Now, I only see it when coming up the driveway...lol.
I added this picture just so you can see
the SIZE of the pillow thief!
He is the size of a SMALL HORSE and eats MORE than a REGULAR HORSE!

What We Do When Stockshow Season is OVER...
Look very closely at this pictures....
Do you notice anything...other than the fact
I am NOT in the picture?
Look at Dad's feet.....They are NOT on the GROUND....
isn't that a hoot...he tried to be the stud when he jumped
and this is how it turned out!
Don't ask what the "cool" teenager is doing on the left....
see, she should have just jumped like she was asked to do...
now, I get to show THIS picture of her on my
WORLD FAMOUS BLOG!!!
Regan is getting the idea....her feet aren't on the
ground either!!!
Now, this is better...at least Dad got into it.....
the "cool" teenager STILL didn't GET IT!!!
She thought if she raised her arms a tiny little bit, that
we would be fooled into thinking she really JUMPED!
What is also funny is that the dog, aka Rascal...pillow thief...
does JUST THE OPPOSITE....AS NORMAL!!! He lays down when told to JUMP!!
