What is Love?

A Tribute to Doe and Jim
(aka Aunt Dodo and Uncle Jim)
There is a lot to be said about these hands.
These hands began a life together on August 24, 1952.
Although the age may be showing in these hands....so is the love and devotion
of a very special man and woman.

For 57 years, these two have been Mr. and Mrs.
They've shared a lifetime together.
Doe and Jim.
She only had one sibling.

He had six siblings.

They have continued a legacy of long marriages.
They created two wonderful children together, a girl and a boy.
They have 5 grandchildren; 4 girls and 1 boy.

Life is throwing a curve called Alzheimer's.
Life is changing....

They are learning to cherish EVERY moment.

They are learning that love isn't limited to people or places...

They will continue to praise God in this storm.

Their love and devotion goes far beyond them....

It even goes far beyond this house....
It goes for an ETERNITY.
I love you Aunt Dodo and Uncle Jim.
It was such a pleasure to spend your 57th Anniversary with you.
You are an inspiration to so many people with your love and devotion
to one another. I can only hope that God will bless my marriage the
way he has blessed yours. Memories might fade....love endures.
Let these pictures serve as a reminder for all to know
these two people who met and fell in love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (New International Version)
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Traci, thank you so much for this special tribute to Mom and Dad! Dad read it and was in tears...as was I when I read it. Can't tell you what it meant to me and Mike to have you and your mom and sisters there to help Dad out while he was preparing to move Mom to her new place. Thank you doesn't begin to say it!! I love you and praise God for you!! Vickie
