You commented on my blog the other day and I wanted to come over and answer your question. Yes, they make a magnetic primer. You can find it at Lowe's or Home Depot in the area where the chalkboard paint is. It's in a quart can and it's about $20 for that quart. You paint it on and then put whatever color over top. I haven't messed with magnets yet but I did read that you need strong ones because it isn't like the fridge door or anything.
