Science Experiment 1.3 Apologia General Science

School is back in session and I decided to share a fun experiment on chemical reaction. I hate that I had to buy a WHOLE head of red cabbage for this experiment....I have NO IDEA what to do with the rest of it. Thank goodness, I found a really small head.
Regan is doing a more intense science this year...which means it takes longer than past years. She is really enjoying this book, it makes her feel like she is in HIGH SCHOOL because it is so thick. She makes sure to show it to anyone willing to look at it....lol.

Notice that the balloon inflated...but also, the color of the liquid changed....there you have it, CHEMICAL REACTIONS.
NOTE: The glasses are safety glasses....as called for in the supply list....I'm thinking she would look really cute in the CAT GLASSES that I DIDN'T get....what do you think?

How cool is that! Yes, cat glasses would be way cute. Hmm... maybe you can patent some cat safety glasses, lol!

I guess they took the TWW videos down. Shoot. Well, hopefully someone else will load them some time.
I *think* it's supposed to be a series, but not sure!

Very cool. I love science experiements. I wonder if that same chemical reaction is what occurs when we ingest cabbage. I know I feel like I've inflated some (LOL !!!)
Yes, she'd be very cute in cat glasses!
