Thanks Kimba for hosting this!
This is what I've stared at for almost 2 years!
I know you can't see it in the picture, but the bottom part of the screen lasted
about ONE WEEK before a child that shall remain nameless stuck her foot through it because she didn't want it slamming shut while
she was in the pantry!
Also, the fact that it needed to be painted has driven
me to nutdom!
I went from chocolate brown to white to black to
finally RED!
Wow! Just looking at the pantry in this pictures and then scrolling back up to 2 years ago....shows how much CLUTTER there is in that pantry....
I guess I need to do an INSIDE the pantry BEFORE AND AFTER.
I got lucky at Lowe's and got the door hardware for $.75!! Yes, just 3 QUARTERS!
I bought TWO...because of course it was such a great deal and I know
I still want a screen door on my garage/laundry room door.
I got the pretty little scroll pieces at Hobby Lobby...2/$1
Also, note the NEW SCREEN...who knew that it could be THAT easy to replace!
(Note to kids: Don't get any ideas about sticking another foot through it....if you do, you might as well pack your bags and hit the road!)

You might also notice the little barns to the left...they got a makeover also. I still haven't decided if I like them enough to keep them there or not.
I still need to do something about the light switch cover though.
I love works in progress!!!
The door looks really good with my red glittery vintage dining chairs!!!
WE DID IT OURSELVES!!!

now yu may think I am just a real dodo brain, but I was wondering about painting a wooden screen door, how do you NOT get paint all over the screen? what do you do on the side where the screen is in contact with the wood?
Please do not tell me you have to take the screen off?
am I making this too hard?
It looks great! What a fun place to be! :) Hope dinner was great - it sure sounded good...planning on posting the recipe for the parm chicken? :)

Red cures the soul! Looks good.
I LIKE...NO, I LOVE YOUR SCREEN DOOR!
I sooo wish I had a walk-in pantry to put a screen door on. Your's is so cheery in it's pretty red color.
Oh my goodness....I LOVE the screen door and I LOVE it red! I think the little scrollie things make it perfect! Great idea! Stop over and visit! :)
I have never seen a screen door for a pantry. Hmm, maybe I just don't get out much come to think of it. But I really like it!
I just took the measurements of my pantry opening so that I could be on a look out for a screen door. I have wanted one for years. I want to line mine with some lacy fabric for an old fashioned look. Yours is great. The red is perfect. I love it!!
Love it, it looks good.
super cute!
Adorable!!!! I love it!
