Someone Paid $0.44 for THIS?

This is what I got from our wonderful United States Post Office....
Make sure you click and ENLARGE this masterpiece....
What hurt my feelings and crushed my "I AM SOMEBODY" mentality....
was the simple fact....
THAT THE POSTMASTER COULDN'T EVEN SIGN THE ENVELOPE!!!
What if this would have been a diploma or something...maybe it was...
I will never KNOW because I couldn't tell what it was!!!!

Well, on defense of the postal service, because I work for this establishment, that is procedure.

It is possible this letter got caught in a machine and caused the damage, that is usually what happens. If there is a address visible, it has to be sent.

I feel so bad when I see letters or parcels damaged in transit, and no address is visible or no return address is there, no one ever knows what happens to the damaged goods....

I know it stinks, and really, very few items get damaged due to the postal service itself....not that this explanation helps.

I certainly don't blame your frustration....there is no perfect solution, but that is what the company has in place for its policy on damaged mail.

I'm sorry your letter arrived in bits.... :)
